Distinguished American General Secretariat:

In the month of October there will be a new opportunity to present the subject of state "Road Safety" against the leaders of Latin America.

The Summit of Heads of State and Government held in El Salvador and Portugal, gave space to regional issues in their programs without that to date we see strong initiatives in some member countries.

How to develop programs for youth importantizar and education from the Secretary General? If our teenagers and people in productive age according to recent international reports lose their lives on the road.

143.000 deaths a year, and millions of injuries consume budgets of Latin American nations, which grew rapidly in population and vehicle fleet.

Next May, the United Nations declared the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020, whose intentions were announced in Madrid by the Government of the Russian Federation, during the Fourth Plenary Assembly of the Ibero-American Conference, chaired by Dr. Henry V. Churches, in early 2010.

It has been an aspiration of many organizations and individuals the initiative of the Decade of Action, however, lack impulse to enroll the nations of this western region of America plans to decrease the per capita death rate from traffic accidents each rising again as recorded in the reports.

This is why we urge in this way, the Ibero-American General Secretariat, to include road safety in their next agenda and to encourage governments on stage in Paraguay led to real and actually benefiting from the beginning of the Decade of Action.

Sincerely,

Dignity Network Foundation-will found-
