Dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus
One of the best known and repeated verses from the Bible (John 3:16) was given by Jesus in a personal encounter with a nobleman of Israel. One night, a renowned and famous teacher of Israel named Nicodemus, came to visit Jesus and said, Master, we know that God has sent you to teach us, because nobody could do the miracles that You do unless God is with him.
Carefully analyzing the speech of Nicodemus, we see that this noble Pharisee came to leave their daily work (wine at night) and came alone, but Jesus says we (plural) which God has sent you. Who knew? Without a doubt, all the Pharisees knew. What they knew? That Jesus was a messenger of God. How did they know? For the miracles he performed. What had been sent to the Master of Galilee? To teach them. What do you teach? ... Nicodemus does not expose that thing or things had come to explain Jesus. However, Jesus explains, and ensures that if a person is born again he can not see the kingdom of God.
Immediately, the teacher asks Nicodemus to the Master of the Masters: How can someone already old be born? Can he enter again in the womb? And immediately Jesus responds by saying, I assure you that if a man be born of water and the Spirit he can not enter the kingdom of God. Everyone is born of human parents, but only the children of God born of the Spirit. And immediately Jesus says: Do not be surprised if I told you to be born again. And he "clarifies" saying: The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound but do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. Would you clarify? Apparently this explanation confuses more than it helps! However, Nicodemus asked again: How can this happen?
Jesus answered, You are a famous teacher in Israel, and do not understand this? I assure you that we know what we say because we've seen, but you do not believe what they say. If you do not believe me when I talk about the things of this world, how I believe if I speak of heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but only he who descended from there, ie I, the Son of man. Moses lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness, and just as I, the Son of man, I have to be raised in high, so that whoever believes in me has eternal life.
God so loved the people of this world, I gave me, his only Son, that whoever believes in me shall not perish but have eternal life. For God sent me into the world to condemn people, but to save everyone. He that believeth in me, I am the Son of God, will not be condemned by God. But he that believeth not is condemned already, precisely because they rejected God's only Son. And that is how God judges, I have come into the world, and I am the light that shines in the darkness, but as people made the wrong chose darkness over light. All who do evil hate the light, and not approach her to not find out what they are doing. But those who prefer the truth does come to light, they want others to know that you obey all the commandments of God (John 3:1-21).
