What we call depression?


What we call depression? Depression is a normal component of the repertoire of human emotions. Emotional experiences are valuable, mourn deeply, hugging a loved one for comfort and fight the dark side that is inside, however, depression can go from emotional experience and become a disabling situation to find pleasure or happiness with which we live. If we understand the motives and meanings behind the depression and the particular ways as it is manifested in us, it is easier to give up these behaviors, feelings and attitudes that ultimately are destructive to the extent that prevents us from having an optical more positive outlook on life. Depression is not just a melancholy mood or a temporary sadness goes away in a few hours or even a few days. In depression there is a persistent sad mood state. The word depression is used to give multiple meanings to emotional states, ranging from a symptom, to a syndrome (syndrome called the set of symptoms that indicate an alteration or disruption of a specific organ or system), and arriving at a structure .

There are so many depressed people, which has sought to classify them into smaller groups, although in reality there are many depressed individuals are depressions. Several attempts at classification have been made throughout the history of mankind. Depression is an emotional state of depression, sadness, feelings of worthlessness and guilt. It leads to that feeling, loneliness, loss of motivation, motor retardation and fatigue. Depressed people are considered unhappy, frustrated, humiliated, rejected or punished, and the future they see no hope. Depression can be determined by different genetic and biochemical factors for childhood traumatic situations or situations of loss or stress that in any case makes us more vulnerable and foremost, it is important to note that whatever the cause for each one of us manifestations are different and the meaning is clearly acquiring individual. We have seen that many people with depression have had difficulties in childhood or later in life that contribute to a loss of self-esteem and susceptibility to rejection and difficulty enjoying life. However, others have not lived these experiences and develop suddenly in a situation as painful living in their lives.

It is also clear that the manifestations of depression, accompanied by a biochemical component and antidepressant medication may be helpful for some people but not a sufficient treatment for others. Depression is related to both the body and mind, both our past and our present situation. Regardless of these conditions, the improvement can only occur as a result of a process will review the emotions and behavior and current relations with that account.
